Assistant Marketing Manager


One of Africaís leading Communications consulting firms in Accra requires qualified persons to fill the position of Assistant Marketing Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:

Market Research
Obtain knowledge about the market and how the organization can position itself effectively in it.
Agree on indicators of successful market positioning with Business Development and Finance
Continuously monitor the market and advice on changes in it and how the organization can position itself effectively
Target Setting
Works with the Finance and Business Development Departments to set marketing targets for the organization
Ensures marketing plans are aligned with the organizationís strategies
Strategy, Planning and Implementation
Develops and implement appropriate marketing plans in line with the organizationís strategies
Works closely with Business Development to develop a multi-faceted plan, aimed at growing the organizationís clients in a progressive and strategic manner
Contributes to the development of new products and service offerings
Coordinates and ensures implementation of marketing strategies for new products and services
Develops and implements strategic business models so as to create new ventures
Developing and Executing the Strategy to meet set targets
Develops, operationalizes and implements annual Marketing strategies and plans
Identifies opportunities for publicizing the Organization
Undertakes campaigns and other promotional activities to publicize the Organization
Follows up on proposals and Letters of Introduction (LOI) sent out and update LOI tracking sheet.
Other Duties:
Develops a strategy for maintaining a strong social media presence for the Organization.
Works to continuously strengthen the brand of the organization.
Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Potential clients

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

A First degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or any related discipline
A 2nd degree will be an added advantage
Professional Certification in Marketing i.e. CIM, CIMA etc.
Professional Certification in Advertising

Significant knowledge in Marketing and Advertising and emerging market trends
Significant knowledge in Brand Management
High business/commercial acumen
High Marketing acumen
Proposal writing skills
Knowledge of social marketing skills
Good IT skills
At least 5 years post-qualification work experience

Effective people-management skills
Good team building skills

Excellent Negotiation and Influencing skills
Excellent communication skills Ė oral and written
Good organization and planning skills
Creative and Innovative
Delivery and Implementation
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to multi-task
