Human Resources Assistant


This position will be working under the supervision Human Resources Manager to provide support in various HR functions:
Coordinate and assist in performance reviews within the required timelines.
Assist in updating the Human Resource information system and make all necessary staff information inputs in a timely and efficient manner: New hires, terminations,
Support Expats, Third Country Nationals and Volunteer consultants and TechnoServe visitors with immigration issues: visas and work and residence permit compliance.
Support in the recruitment and on-boarding of new staff as needed
Provide support in reviews of local employee handbook to bring it up to date with TNS policies and procedures.
Serve as the focal person on the organizationís health insurance scheme by ensuring timely enrolment and removal of members, refund claims and member replacements.
Any other duties that will be assigned by supervisor

Support the Security focal person in monitoring and providing actual security updates in all designated program areas.
Monitor and ensure compliance with TNS security and safety guidelines and policies pertaining to training sessions, vehicle use and personal safety in liaison with Admin department.
Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelorís Degree in Human Resources or Administration,
Minimum of three (3) yearsí professional experience (or 1 year with Masterís degree) in a value chain program or related field: food security and agronomy.
Prior experience working in related field would be an advantage.
Experience in Non Profit Development sector will be an advantage.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
