Branch Manager


A reputable and rapidly growing organization is seeking the services of a smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professional to occupy the position of Branch Manager.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full service branch office, including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the Banks objectives.
Develops new deposit and loan business; provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; achieves individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships.
Provides leadership, training and supervision; delegates day to day operations to the Branch Administrator or other branch personnel.
Responsible for attaining established Bank and branch goals through active participation in sales management.
Create strategies to grow business opportunities.
Build new customer relationships
Retain existing customers
Resolve customer issues
Develop and monitor bank sales strategies
Develop, manage and monitor bank loan portfolio
Identify and develop new sources of business
Train, mentor and guide branch banking staff to function effectively
Monitor, verify, rectify and update all accounting records.
Prepare financial statements and operational reports for the head office
Pass on information from higher-ups to personnel within the branch and report anything upwards to other parts of the bank. This would include deposit information, sales and lending goals, errors and discrepancies in deposit or account reconciliations, and success in marketing or selling various products.
Perform duties in the absence of the Branch Management Administrator or other such Branch management capacities.
Authorizing payments for disbursement or withdrawals
Supervise other Branch Management and other staff
Custodian of Combination of vault/Safe
Periodic review of Branch Registers
Other duties as may be assigned

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

A minimum of a BSC in Business Administration - Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields with numerate coursework
Excellent computer literacy
Experience with Globus banking software
Able to coach and motivate
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Good time management and planning skills
Independent worker and honest
