Job Description
Our client, a Manufacturing and Exporting Company is currently looking to hire an experienced and proactive BRANCH MANAGER to support with their operations in Ghana.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, storing and exporting Shea butter. He/she will report to the CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER of the company.
Prepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all export activities.
Communicate with export related authorities, customers and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
Communicate/correspond with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner, to include: pre-alerts, rate requests, shipment status, etc.
Create invoices and approve payables.
Ensure the branch / facilities are up to date with all required permits, requirements and local regulations.
Audit files to ensure accuracy and completion
Other duties as assigned.
Develop plans, allocate resources and coordinate processes to ensure that tasks are completed in most efficient manner, and in the sequence required for the desired results to be achieved.
Use software systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs.
Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers.
Responsible to ensure that all staff member operate in accordance with applicable regulatory compliance as well as policies and procedures.
Understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce.
Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible facility, within operations and staff conditions.
Establish regular staff meetings to build an environment in which employees willingly produce maximum work with a high level of effectiveness.

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or similar field.
Must have Diploma in Marketing / Sales / Export
Should have experience as a Procurement Manager.
5 – 10 years working experience in a similar management role (experience within an export of Agro products or related business is positive).
Must have exclusive knowledge on Shea Butter.
Understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
Financial and Data Analysis Skills
Superior Organisational Skills
Strategic Planning Abilities
Knowledge of Supply Management Software (Database Management, Inventory Management, Financial Analysis, Point of Sale, Procurement, Project Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning, and General Office Programs),
Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.
Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking.
Outstanding decision-making skills and ability to work well with others.
