Sales Agronomist

Develops a strategic plan for the sale of the cocoa fertilizers and cocoa products
Designs and implement systems, structures and policies for the operational activities of cocoa activities
Conducts market surveys and forecast for the coming year’s demand and supply of cocoa products
Clearly come out with a well-defined sales objectives and targets for implementation quarter by quarter.
Ensures that you gain market share by constantly demonstrating the qualities and benefits of s cocoa products
Takes a consultative approach while making sales to determine agronomy needs, create solutions and build long term relationships with customers that will generate sales of the fertilizers and agronomy services
Develops and maintains relationships with customers and gain insight into their needs as a guideline to offer new or additional products or services
Develops and implement agronomic plans with cocoa farmers to ensure a successful growing season
Organizes periodic training for our targeted cocoa farmers and implement robust systems that will facilitate agronomic processes and operations
Directs and coordinates activities such as planting regimes, chemical application, irrigation and harvesting and management of post-harvest losses.
Advices farm supervisor on general farm sanitation and equipment maintenance.
Draws up cocoa programmes to position the brand strategically.
Coordinates all activities with SARI(Savannah Agricultural Research Institute)
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and gain insight into their needs to offer new or additional products or services
Plan the sales of cocoa fertilizers and other products whilst working to find long term customers, understanding their needs and marketing a product that meets their need and maximizes the value to the company
Advise cocoa farmers on fertilizer application practices that will improve their economic returns as well as protect environmental sustainability
Effectively handle all required sales documents and terms in line with internal standards

Educational Requirements & Qualifications

Post-graduate in the Agricultural science
Degree in agricultural science with emphasis on sales agronomy, crop, soil, agric business or other ag science or related field
Certificate course in agricultural science
At least 3 – 4 years industry experience
Ability to communicate effective to attract attention of the targeted clients
Ability to study the soil and plant to make sure that the results are right
Desire to serve farmers and others groups in the agriculture industry
